The Training Trap: Why Training Alone Doesn't Buy Adoption

Panel evidence shows AI adoption pays off with complementary training. A 35-country study shows workplace training steepens the exposure→adoption gradient. The question is no longer whether to train, but how.

2. The training trap (Guide 1, §1.5)

Training that optimizes for today's AI-teachable skills can fall into the trap: skills that AI easily acquires are not a sustainable investment. The meta-skill layer (critical evaluation, ethical judgment, context transfer) is the defensible difference.

3. What to do instead

  • Staged, role-specific, objective-assessed (Guide 1 §2.3).
  • Continuous architecture instead of one-shot workshop (spaced reinforcement, Guide 1 §4).
  • Meta-skills over tool skills (Guide 1 §1.5).
